Well designed, aesthetically pleasing, clean, clear sound.
In the living room I have a full home theater 5.1 system that I've upgraded receivers, speakers and bass/subwoofers over the years, but in the bedroom I've had a struggle with what is the right device for a full sound but not a blaster system. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for the bedroom and I also really cringed at the idea of running wires for a full surround system. I needed more sound than the TV speakers.
I started my journey with sound bars, and am really happy that I ended up here. I had no dissatisfaction with the sound capabilities of my newest sound bar but the format was the problem-- the fact that it sat in front of the TV gave me problems. It was ugly/obtrusive and caused my TV to not turn on/off in sync with the sound bar. Wonderful bang for your buck unit.
Many people have already said enough about this sound bar so I will just give a quick review. I purchased this item in hopes of helping my terrible Vizio TV speakers. It's basically a constant struggle of having to adjust the volume due to the fact that I cannot hear dialogue then rushing to turn the volume down during loud scenes. I started looking for a sound bar but I wanted one that I could sit my TV on top of. Just not a fan of having a sound bar in front of the TV(unless it was wall mounted or I had a spot to put the sound bar without being in front of the TV). Any who, it was basically this or Zvox. Zvox had great reviews, I've seen them many times in my home theater magazine, which is now Sound & Vision, but I didn't want to pay $400 dollars for their top of the line with not near as many inputs or features. PERFECT!!!!
Just picked this up yesterday. The wife and I placed it under our Sony 50" LED 3D Tv. We watched transformers in 3D and some other movies on a custom built home theater PC system I built a while back. Let me tell you this thing kicks! Movie theater like quality. If you are planing to connect this for a large room, this will not do it for you. you are better off buying a full blown system. This is a simple setup that will boost the audio quality of your television. We have a small entertainment room that also doubles as an office that we placed this in. The sound fills the entire room.
