Marshall Acton Wireless Bluetooth Digital Speaker Loudspeaker System Black

Classic Marshall!
I have had this speaker for about a month now and it is impressive! Don't let the small size fool you because it has a BIG sound, especially the bass. I can hear things in songs that I could never hear before in my Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks. I like the options of using the 3.55mm input jacks or bluetooth. I played the Outlaws "Green Grass and High Tides" and Led Zeppelin's "Bring it on Home" which played to 95db @ 90 percent using the 9.5mm jack from my HP desktop, using the Winamp to the Acton with no distortion or clipping. I then ran the bluetooth with my HTC One M8 with the same two songs using the Poweramp app and activating the hearing assistance program to ensure max volume. The results were nearly identical db wise. It is good to use a music player that has adjustable tones as you may like a little more bass on the quieter volume settings. Even if you have a source that does not have bass/treble controls don't worry, the Marshall Acton has you covered. I have...

Marshall Quality
I purchased this speaker to use in my garage when I'm working outside, and also to take with us when my wife and I travel on vacation. I considered the Bose Soundlink series, but I selected the Acton because I didn't need a battery powered speaker, and I wanted something with serious volume.
Plus, the Acton looks really cool. I considered the Stanmore, but it was too big for traveling.
I only use it direct wired to my iPhone or Macbook, so I can't comment on the bluetooth capability.
But hardwired, the sound is excellent. When listening to my iTunes or Pandora One indoors, I actually use the Acton instead of my home stereo system. For one room coverage, it does the job.

I love the Marshall home speaker
I love the Marshall home speaker, it only gets 4 Stars due to the terrible bluetooth technology. With that said, I knew about the bad connection via bluetooth and the bad quality it produced when you try to "air play" audio to it. But I still bought it because when you connect it to the provided cable it turns into a true "Marshall" the sound is near perfect. I use Sonos around my house for all my music needs, but I added this one to my living room because its a work of art. It belongs framed around wood and metal its such a sexy device... Everyone that walks in ask about it. If you're a true music fan and know the history of Marshall you will not be disappointed.
