Very Happy
I have had these speakers for a couple months. I have no complaints about the sound clarity, reproduction, or volume. I am using these in an apartment setting. I use these for everything - watching television/movies, playing games, and listening to a wide variety of music (classical, metal, electronic, ambient, new age, celtic). I am very happy with my setup and its performance.
I have these hooked up to my computer through my Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card RCA-out, using a Yamaha A-S500 amplifier in between. These are the only speakers in my setup; I do not have a subwoofer. I do not get any audible noise or interference with this setup - unless there is actually noise in the source from a poor quality or unmastered audio track (this is easily distinguished between when the speakers are on but with no source playing, when a source is playing with sound, and when a source is "playing" but there is a silence between notes in the track and static remains...
Music is pleasant to listen to again
Many years ago I had a decent amplifier and speakers, and music was a constant in my life; somehow, over time, I let that system be replaced with lesser quality components. Partly I was seduced by the consolidation of functions into a home theater system, which unfortunately made listening to music more challenging and hence less frequent.
Recently I bought a new stereo for the dining room. I had envied friends with Klipsch speakers since college days (now 40 years ago, alas!), and so I ordered a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers. Wow, am I glad I did!
The setup was as simple as could be imagined, and the sound quality was every bit as delightful as I hoped it would be. I listened to Judy Collins, Joan Baez, and other cherished artists, and now their beautiful voices came through with no sense that a speaker stood between us: it was like having Joan sing for me in my home. Classical music is rendered faithfully, with clarity and grandeur. Once again Bach,...
Awesome!!!!
Klipsch has done it once again! I can't believe they have the ability to surprise me. I replaced a set of rb-35's with these and the sound is fabulous. The RB-61 II 's are smaller and lighter than the rb 35's. The rb-61 II blows away my other speakers. They are capable of a more "full" sound and are MUCH louder when needed. I am still shocked! You will not be disappointed if you get these. If for some reason you don't like these, you either have better ears than myself or you will never be happy with anything.
