Beats Pill XL Portable Bluetooth Speaker (White)

I feel inclined to write a review as I couldn't trust many that were posted.
I researched for hours and hours over a new bluetooth speakers and went into a local big box store and listened to several. I was shopping for a bigger sound and bass was a must for me. I listened to the Soundlink III and though the sound was refined and clear, at higher volumes the speaker seemed to dim the bass the overall sound wasn't great. The Soundlink III didn't offer as many features and just wasn't as loud as I wanted it to be. I wanted a speaker that could be loud as do these speakers being "portable", I wanted them to do well in a portable setting such as a park or beach or somewhere with a lot of background noise. The JBL Charge 2 had some bass on it, but it was not that loud and the bass seemed to drown out when turned up to high volumes. I did a ton of research on the Infinity One but was never able to listen to it and was afraid to buy it without listening to it in person. I liked the features of it but couldn't pull the trigger because I couldn't listen to it...

Amazing sound and all around!
I read so many reviews, weighed them against my research and when I made a decision I decided to give Beats a whirl.I didn't go to the store and listen to them I'll admit. Just the research and reviews I found on Amazon and the net.

Wow. I lucked out. This XL is amazing. I've had it two months so far I couldn't be happier. The sound that comes from this 3 x 12" speaker is full. Even if I crank it up to it's loudest it never loses any sound. I'm no snob though, low, highs, whatever all I know is this thing sounds wonderful. The battery is crazy good, it holds a charge and a half! It will even charge your phone and still keep going!

I recently took it cabin camping and told people to rub it to connect. They all laughed but i said I'm serious rub it, lol Sure enough their phones either connected or immediately recognized the device. Connection is pretty decent too, I move the phone 10 feet away no problems, even further sometimes. Sometime though it goes out at...

Currently the best sounding battery powered Bluetooth speaker available. (But only if you really need Bluetooth.)
Was looking for a battery powered speaker with bluetooth that I could use when I'm doing a photo shoot on location. Currently have the Bose Acoustic Wave II, which I love, but I'm getting tired of having to use an Aux cable now that I have an iPhone 5s and my iPod Touch simply doesn't have the ability to stream music when I'm outdoors and away from WiFi. I spent over an hour testing a few Bluetooth speakers at a local electronics store (a flagship size store here in Los Angeles). It was busy and it was loud from the crowd of people in the store. I listened to the following speakers at the store up close (within 3-5 feet) and a bit further away (about 20 feet away):

- UE Boom
- Bose Soundlink Mini
- Bose Soundlink III
- Big Jambox by Jawbone
- Beats Pill XL

I know what you're thinking, how could I hear the music in a loud store? Well that's kind of the noise level one deals with at times on a photo shoot set (with generators, general noise from...
