Amazing Sound
I purchased this with my siblings for our parents for Christmas. They have always wanted one but never could justify spending so much. The price is high, but if you love music and you want to hear it at its best, then buy this. Radio stations, CD's, and Pandora sounds amazing and the sounds does fill the room.
The only negative thing about the product is the app is a little on the ugly side. It works perfectly fine, just not as flashy as many mainstream apps. With that said the app is easy to use and acts as a remote on any smart phone or tablet.
My mom uses it every day and she loves it. My dad looks forward to buying one of the smaller portable Bose speakers so that he can bring the music outside on the deck this summer.

This is a great sound system!
I have this system. And I love it! The app that works with it is free to download from the Bose website. The app is easy to navigate but could do with a search option or an alphabetical select menu. (I have 26,000 songs in my playlist.) If you have a tablet the app can be downloaded free and works well. The system sounds great and is the best I have seen for internet radio. I can tune into European radio with the push of a preset. It's on the expensive side but Bose gives great support if anything goes wrong with their products. I teamed it with the Bose Soundtouch 30 and I can have the same music playing in my living room and Kitchen or if I choose different music in both rooms is also an option. The pairing is seamless. Basically I think Bose brings wi-fi music to a new level with this system. I'd give it ten stars if I could. Bose have promised a search option in the program but so far (April15th haven't delivered). The software is kind of primitive if you have a large music...
Premium pricing for substandard functionality
So, what we have here is a Bose Wave radio/CD player, with the add-on pedestal that provides wi-fi capability and AirPlay streaming. The Bose Wave is a Bose Wave; you know how they sound and how they work. I like them, I own one, and my review will focus on the "upgrade" from my existing Wave III to this system. Or rather, my attempted upgrade.
I'm also not going to focus, in this review, on the fact that it never actually managed to connect to my wifi network. Bose declared it defective, and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that. They also bungled the return, but that review is for the seller, not the item, and I've already written it.
The question for this review is whether you should replace your existing Wave III with this model, or whether you should pay the $100 premium over the Wave III pricing for this model.
What you get for your extra $100 is the pedestal you see under the radio itself, which connects via the proprietary...
