New Wii Versions Won't Play Dance Dance Revolution - No Gamecube Ports
I was one of those suckers who bought a Wii bundle early, forced to spend probably over $100 more on useless accessories, during the initial month or so that the Wii was first released, just so I would not have to wait for months to get one off a waiting list. But it was worth it - the first Wii party we threw during the first year the Wii came out, we should have received a commission from Nintendo, as we convinced three or four of our friends to buy one, including one grandmother contemplating retirement. Even the basic Wii Sports games that originally came with this console were so fun for all ages that one day when my 70+ year old parents were visiting, I came back from a few hours at my office to see my parents sitting on the couch, trash talking each other as they proceeded to bowl 200 games; they bought a Wii the following week. I'd rate the Wii a solid 5/5 based on my first few years of ownership.
Alas, the original Wiis come with a chronic defect, a weak laser...
Ninetendo Wii Console (Newest Model)
Identical to the original except that it is missing one remote controller and the stand to put it on it's side. It still can be stood up on it side, the rubber pads are there or laid flat. Other than that, it's the same machine. I wanted an extra Wii to hook up a television in the bedroom to watch Hulu and Netflix. So don't worry about it being short changed. It isn't.
Nintendo Wii Console
My grand kids can once again play their Wii games. Their old console finally gave out. The new Wii console works fine.
