Nintendo Wii Console White w/ Wii Sports Resort - Official Nintendo Refurbished Product

excellent! just as described
excellent! just as described! rapid delivery!

Very happy with the purchase
Exactly as described. Our old one stopped reading disks. At least we were able to save most of the data from the old one and import it to the new one. This may say "refurbished", but it looks brand new. Very happy with the purchase.

Unreasonable cost for shipping.
The product is fine. I wanted it in time for a visit by my grandson. It arrived in plenty of time. My complaint is that: Approximately, $50 for shipping is unreasonable. I will be sure and check the shipping cost from now on, before I order. The shipping was a third of the price. Probably, $15 to $20, would have been understandable. If this is any indication of what to always expect, I will not be ordering in the future.

Wii Bundle with Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort - White

title="pitch perfect" width="263" />

Review

Excellent Console!
Even though the Wii's graphics aren't as great as the PS3's and Xbox 360's, the quality of games on the Wii show how fun it is. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are some of the best games and Mario Kart Wii is still incredibly fun. The Wii is more designed to be a family friendly console versus the PS3 and Xbox 360's shooter games. Whether you should purchase a Wii or not depends on what type of games you want to play. If you want casual games, buy a Wii, if you want hardcore games buy a PS3 or Xbox 360. In general, the Wii is one of the greatest consoles of all time and is worth every cent.

Awesome deal!
I bought the Wii for my husband and I. We are both in our 50's and not very good with your basic game controllers. I bought a PS2 a few years ago, but it is not easy to use at our age! We are not big gamers so I decided that for the winter months, the Wii would be great for us and it is the BEST game I have ever owned! It is so easy to set up and start using. Everything works as they said it would. My husband has broad shoulders and had a hard time with the size on the PS2 controller. He would be sore from only sitting and playing. We found that with the Wii, we get great exercise playing the games as well and we notice how the muscles we don't often use are given a workout! Time flies too when playing! I have searched for months for a good price on the Wii, and Amazon has EVERYONE beat with this bundle! I also got the extra controller, nunchuk and the charger that is offered as well that was rated 5 stars. I am waiting for that to arrive. Plus, I did order more games as well...
Lot's of fun for the whole family
My husband and I got a Wii for our birthday. We also have 3 kids, two of whom are old enough to play Wii games. Right out of the box, we found the Wii to be very intuitive. Set up was easy. He had it set up within a few minutes while I was putting the kids to bed (we wanted to try it out before letting the kids see it!) We immediately put in Wii Sports and found the game to be intuitive. We thought it was fun - my husband liked the Boxing best and I liked the Tennis best. We have really enjoyed Sports Resort as well. I think the swordplay is the overall favorite for 2 players, but we have also enjoyed Archery, Skydiving, Table Tennis (well, that's me!), and Frisbee (my husband). In addition to the included games, we got a few others. My 5 year old LOVES the Princess and the Frog Wii game. We also really enjoyed Just Dance! My 4 year old still doesn't understand the controllers, but she was able to participate in Just Dance! without them. My 5 year old and I both held the...

Nintendo Wii Console Black with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort

title="pitch perfect" width="263" />

Review

Perfect gift for kids!
It's a perfect gift for my son(5and half years old). we really enjoyed almost all the games! we highly recommend to all parents who has a young child.

I really like this game system
I like to shop Amazon to save money. But this is one item I have found you can pick up at Wal-Mart or Hastings for about $130.00. Now keep in mind other that the DSI XL. The last system I bought was the PS2. But I am amazed at all this system does. It kinda turns your TV into a smart TV. The one thing I really do like is you can use it with the Amazon instant video channel to play your Amazon unbox videos on your tv, which has brought me back to watching movies and tv shows I had bought some time ago. The console includes 2 games on 1 disc WII sports and WII sports resort which combined give you about 18 games to play. I havent tried them all but I have tried a few of the games. So I feel it is a nice starter kit. Also Comes with a WII motion plus remote and a numchuck. I am well pleased with this purchase.

Awesome
Of course the WII is awesome. Bought the extended range bar because we have a huge living room. Works great, got here on time, good price, can't complain. I got mine for 138 bucks and they are at walmart for 129.99. No biggie though. Saved me from having to make a trip to that hell hole. Thanks!

Wii Sports Resort

Interactive and fun, lots of levels
I got this game for my birthday, but I couldn't play it until December because I didn't have the Motion Plus Accessory. (You NEED it to play this game.) When I played Wii Sports, I found the games a bit repetitive. But I was amused by the opening skydiving scene in Wii Sports Resort, and it opened out to 12 games, two of which (Golf and Bowling) were upgraded from Wii Sports.

Swordplay: I started out with Swordplay and found it really fun, immediately unlocking Speed Slice, where objects are thrown at you and you must slice them in the right direction before your opponent. In Showdown you face a whole horde of opponents and in the later levels, you can't just bash your sword around--you actually need strategy. This is one of my favorites.

Wakeboarding: This was okay, but my sister rocks at this! You have to ride behind a boat on a board and do amazing tricks to get points.

Frisbee: This has two levels: Frisbee Dog and Frisbee Golf. In the Frisbee...

A Kid's Review
We love this Sports Resort game. My husband has never shown an interest in "video games" because he doesn't like to just sit on his butt. But this Resort is awesome! We play it most evenings and we can't believe how interactive it is. It's fun competing against each other, and it's fun to just play period. It's been very well thought out, and the graphics are great. Our favorite is the frisbee golf. The courses are lovely and it's like we've taken a mini vacation, all in our own living room. I'm 50 and my husband is 60, and we are having a hoot playing these Wii Sports Resort games. Some are quite challenging, too!

love it
"Wii Sports Resort" has twelve games. It utilizes the Wii Motion Plus Accessory to make playing even more precise. Each game features an instructional video that shows you how to play that game. You collect stamps along the way for certain achievements.

Swordplay: there are three games - two two player games and one one player game. In Dual you have a sword fight with another player (either human or against the Wii). The object is to win two rounds. In Speed Slice you play against another player to see who can slice objects the fastest. The first player to get 10 points is the winner. Showdown is a one player game where you fight enemy sword fighters. The game ends when you are either hit three times or you defeat all the enemies in the area. All three games are quick to play and relatively easy to win.

Wakeboarding: up to four players can play this game. iT has three levels: beginner, intermediate, and expert. This game can take a little getting used to...

Wii with Wii Sports Resort - Black

Happy with Purchase
When we first decided to buy a Wii, I didn't realize that there is more to it than that. White or black? How many remotes? What is Wii Fit? Is it the balance board, the software, what?

After reading a handful of reviews, I decided that this configuration was the way to go -- and I still believe I was correct (not always the case). The black box fits nicely with our other TV components. The Wii Resort software that comes with the package is so cool as a starter set that I haven't felt the need to purchase other software (yet).

One game in particular has been the source of many hours of fun: Island Flyover. Why? Because it was easy to learn (I'm 55) yet well designed enough to keep me engaged looking for landmarks, white balloons to shoot, etc. Hey, is anyone aware of any other games like this one? If not, somebody should design one or more. I'd buy them!

The aesthetic change is great!
So the wii is the interactive game of the decade, blah blah blah, everyone says that. But why should you buy the black wii with the Sports Resort package? First, I'll say this is my second wii, (lost my first one in a split up), so the wii itself isn't a new thing to me, so I'm reviewing this package deal.

Well, I bought the black wii to match my tv and other electronics, and was planning on painting the base black to match (does come silver), but after setting it up, it matches the silver speakers built into my 2 TV's perfectly! That ensured the 5th star for Nintendo.
Getting a basic wii years ago, you'd get a basic sports disc that was short lived, this wii sports resort is a full set of games and challenges, this could keep you busy for quite some time. The inclusion of the Motion Plus is indeed a nice touch also, this is the full package for 1 player.

My recomendations - may as well pick up a second Motion Plus Controller and Nunchuck with your order...

an absolute bargain
I am not a fan of video games, but I must admit that this is the best one out there, especially bundled with all the sports software. My family, from the preschooler (age 5) to the great-grandma (age 80), and everybody at every age in between, really enjoys playing the sports games, either solo or even better competitively. Now this includes a lot of couch potatoes, including me, so I am very happy to see everybody physically active, no matter how limited. The variety of games also allows for various levels of physical and mental abilities, depending on age and disability, and it permits individual and "team" choice and preference based on natural interest in one sport over another. This might just be the best thing to ever happen to "family togetherness" since the invention of television, which tends to isolate people from each other. Just from the standpoint of physical and mental exercise and challenge, the Wii is truly a bargain. And this bundle is an incredible bargain, combining...
