Got this TV from Costco and the picture is great, 4K up scaling is done very well
Got this TV from Costco and the picture is great, 4K up scaling is done very well. TV is sleek and looks great. USB 3 port is a nice touch! Only Roku streaming is included and works well. Only complaint is no HVEC support yet for 4K streaming from like Netflix but I hear 4K streaming now and near future will be worse than 1080p due to bandwidth issues, so no big loss. Smart TV functions works well with browser and can connect to Lan and wifi, even 5g band!

First off, let me say that i am a very picky person when it comes to picture quality and this TV is one of the BEST TVs out there. I bought this set at COSTCO in La Harbra,Ca and DO NOT regret it one bit. This set has Direct LED backlighting (D-LED),pair that with local-dimming and the black results are almost perfect! I have never been a fan of local dimming since most sets are edge lit.The blacks are very deep to say the least. The color is superb! The sharpness as well. Did have to tweak the settings to perfect the picture but that might not be the case for some. Set was easy. The remote the set comes with is great. Like the vizio, its has a full keyboard behind the remote. Real easy to use. It also has the ROKU side stick included and easy to set up as well. Me,i dont use it,i use my PS3 and PS4 for amazon, netflix etc and the picture quality looks better on the consoles anyways(have the audioquest HDMIs from the consoles to the TV) 4K looks amazing on this thing! VC 65 inch 4k (Ultra HD) TV model number DM65USR
This review is for JVC 65 inch 4k (Ultra HD) TV model number DM65USR, as a consumer and not someone paid to write a good review or a bad one. I was in the market for a 60 to 65 in HD TV, and had looked at the 4k TV's and decided against getting one at the time as the price of a Sony or Samsung in a 60 to 65 in size is running about 2,800 to 3,000, not to mention that there really is limited content such as movies. Viewing 4k vs a standard 1080p TV has amazing detail and clarity that a 1080 does not offer. I recommend checking out a 4k TV and a 1080 and your local store such as best buy, before deciding on purchasing a 4k TV. Depending on the individual a 1080 may look the same, my thoughts are some people may not be able to see the difference in the higher quality. I was closing in on which TV to buy and had narrowed my sights down to 2 different TV's, the Sony 60 in KDL60W850B and the Samsung 65 in UN65H7150.

When I saw the 4k offered by JVC for the same price at $1800,...

Five Stars
Amazing picture. Amazing 3D. 4K streaming nothing short of incredible. IPS panel is beautiful.

Best 4k 3d TV out - - - hands down!!!
Definitely one of the Best 4k 3d TV's out there! Size is perfect and weight lighter than many that we tried out. Tried a Sharp UQ17 and Sony 850b. This TV blows them away in easy setup right out of the box, magic remote like a pointer and just point and click on screen, stand is beautiful and doesn't weigh a ton either. Picture quality is absolutely amazing. Tried Avatar as our favorite and 3D is beautiful, bright, and crystal clear. Played Avengers and Transformers in 3d and outstanding! The passive glasses are light and best way to go from our experience. No batteries to deal with passive glasses. Me is are very easy to navigate and many options if chose to use them. We set to standard video mode and very close to best ISF Calibration without having to pay for a professional certified calibrator. Picture is amazing! Detail is amazing! 3D is amazing! Notice in line with 65" size too! We love it and know you will too!

Samsung's new line of 4K LCD is outstanding
This review is for the 40'' version JU7100.
First off, from day one there has been confusion regaurding the specs on this TV.
The specs originaly posted by Samsung gave the false impression that this model has the
Quantum Dot technology, it does not! also, the refresh rate was incorrectly listed as 120hz.
The actual refresh rate is 240hz.
I was able to verify this information through several chats with Samsung, as well as through
members of the AVS forum.

A feature of this series I really love is the separate input box. You don't plug your inputs like HDMI
for your BD player directly into the TV. The input box is 7 x 3 x 1'', and has a patch cable going into
the back of the TV. You can put the input box anywhere, or you can mount it. This is great because
you don't need to reach behind the TV to connect your inputs. What a great idea!!

Edit note 18Apr15: Regarding the complaint of off axis picture wash out when viewing...
Clouding issues, poor off viewing angles
I bought this tv from a local store, read reviews and saw images looked amazing. Hooked it all up images looked great even the 1080p from my cable box, problem 1 but as soon as you leave the sweet spot (center of the tv) the picture loses contrast and it looks washed out. My seating area has seating in front and to the side so that does not help me at all. Then we go to problem 2 horrible clouding issues its terrible when your watching a movie and it goes to an all black screen and you are patches of clouding/grey areas that's a complete turn off. My old non Samsung 1080p set does not have clouding issues, or poor off angle viewing. I'm very disappointed with this set. Look at my images you be the judge.

PLEASE READ...IMPORTANT TECHNICAL INFO......
Samsung has released the JU7100 series of 4K TVs which contain a defect which makes them unable to connect to the internet via WIFI. That is the bad news. The good news is that today, 3/18/15, Samsung has issued a fix (firmware) which is available on their web site. You will need to use a flashdrive to download the fix and apply it to your TV.

Other than this problem, the TV performs as expected. Pretty straight foward to setup and operate. Oh, the remote is really nice..not your standard one your are familar with. It is very minimalist but powerful. Unlike other TVs, Samsung has adopted a separate Hub device which you plug all your cables into. There are no HDMI ports on the TV itself. Very interesting design. The Hub then connects into the back of the TV.

UPDATE: I was unable to apply the firmware using a flashdrive, evidently the TV could not read or find the file on the flashdrive. But that was not a big issue. As a work around, I hooked up my...

Bigger Difference in UF vs UB9500 Model
Vs the 2014 65UB9500:
Better color, improved contrast and just a much sharper and less washed out picture compared to 2014 UB model. Panel speakers are impressive. The back of this TV is white. Yes, all white. Why? Not sure we will ever know. WebOS 2 improved, but not much. Remote functions improved. Light as a feather. Thin, really thin. I predict we will see mostly positive reviews.

This TV is outstanding in every way!!!
This TV is GORGEOUS !
This thoughtful design integrating slim, sleek and elegant is outstanding in every way.
The ColorPrime system excels! The IPS 4K Panel is a great combination to this outstanding 4K TV. It also efficiently only uses $17 a year in power!)
The webOS2 is superb as well. Everything works beautifully and the user integration of the LG magic remote is brilliant.
The integrated LG/Harmon Kardon Sound system is great and I applaud them for getting this sound from such a slim model. Even the metal auditorium base is unified for maximum audio range and surround dispersion. This combination is so very good.
The up-scale system, the Tru 4K Engine Pro, is just wonderful !!! It really does a great job as we all await more 4K data sources. I so appreciate all of the highly advanced programmable parameters for each input source... So thoughtful, and for those like myself who seek perfection, this is simplified, intuitive and easy to use.

Great picture and built quality!
I received this TV last week and I couldn't be happier. I also have last year's model, 65UB9500, and can say that this one offers better features. I'll review this tv first, then provide a comparison.

Sound: 5/5 Score
Although I run my sound through a AVR and not the internal speakers, I did test the sound it it was pretty well balanced when the stand was installed. Having said that, the speakers are down firing (pointed downwards) and the TV uses the stand to re-direct the sound waves towards the viewer. If your mounting the TV, you no longer have the stand to perform this action and the sounds suffers. Not a lot, but enough to tell the difference.

Picture: 5/5 Score
Like the UB9500 series, this TV offers a great picture! Overall the picture is the same as last year models, the "quantum dots" do make reds and greens brighter and clearer. What I mean by clearer, is that you can see more detail within these colors. Example, if the...

Great until......Will wait for Samsung support
I purchased this TV about a month ago. I simply loved this TV. The picture is great with excellent color and blacks. I don't need to mention that it very sharp. I had to update the software right out of the box because it would not connect over wifi. Netflix was also not on the device but everything fell into place after the update although it took some time before the Netflix app showed up. The TV power did fail recently and I am working with Samsung to get it fixed so I had to take a star for apparently poor reliability. Since this is the first review I didn't want to cast a shadow on what otherwise is an exceptional TV

Amazing set, really is!
Amazing set, really is!
I tried 4-5 4K TV's in last few months and they all went back with some problems, some of those problems were bigger than others.
Anyway i won't bother you which sets they were but most of them had vertical lines, they were noticeable when camera was panning right-left etc. especially when background was light color also most of them had clouding and some panel issues. With UN65JU7500 i had none of those, yes none; i couldn't believe it and this set upscales regular Directv channels to 4K like picture, i'm not kidding these channels (also some channels also better than others in Directv, they all called HD but you can tell the difference) those good ones really shines with this set, i never seen those channels as good as this set in my previous 4K sets. YouTube 4K videos are just breathtaking AMAZING really. Also 3D is best i ever seeing.
Few minor things i have to note, first time setup internet connection has to be wired after initial setup...
Yes, this is the best TV ever
Oh Wow!!! Seriously, this replaces my 70" Sharp Aquos and the two are not in the same area code. So I don't know if the TV is upscaling or not but the output looks much much better than the Sharp. We watched an old 80's movie the other night and it was amazing!! I honestly don't see an advantage with the curved TV. I don't really see the curve in my living room so if you're worried it is weird then don't be.. I bought a new Samsung Blu Ray DVD player that upscales all disks to UHD. Talk about an experience!! UHD for real!! So basically This TV finally and completely exceeds my expectations... Yes it is expensive but if you like watching movies then this is the TV for you!! So this TV has the One Connect box. What is that? Basically all the inputs and outputs go through this device(box) with one input to the TV. In 5 years when outputs change, you swap out the box, not the TV. It has 4 HDMI, USB, optical audio, and many many other inputs/outputs. At first I thought this was just a...

Pros, Cons, Color Settings, Etc
I purchased the 75 inch version of the JU7100 through Amazon (through OneCall actually). Interestingly enough my only other online TV purchase was a Panasonic plasma in 2010 and that was also through OneCall! So props to them because I ordered it Sunday and it arrived Thursday. Very impressive!

PROS:
+ Beautiful design. The bezel and depth of the TV is very thin, and the stand is a lot more secure than I thought it would be.
+ Really deep blacks! I had a Pioneer Elite and a Panasonic plasma years ago and these are the darkest blacks I've seen. Of course it depends on your color settings, but more on that later.
+ Gorgeous and bright other colors! Blacks get all the attention but all the bright whites and other colors are just as good on this set.
+ Minimal "ugly LCD/LED" affect on movies... I haven't researched this affect but I notice it on a lot of LCD/LED displays where the picture just looks fake. Even on a WWII film, for example, there's...

I got this as a replacement of my defective 65UB9500, Its still not perfect TV and will be a waste if you pay more than $2000 on it.

LG must find solution for DSE Dirty Screen Effect, vertical banding or Gray uniformity. Not only LG has this issue Sony, Panasonic and Samsung as the Tech told me.

Samsung UN65JS9000 Curved 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV

You might want to wait for the price to drop, but you won't be sorry!
I purchased this TV last week locally (Sorry Amazon) after considering the previous 9000 series (UN65HU9000FXZA) for the past couple of months. Is this TV worth $1,500 more than the previous version? (as of this writing in early April, 2015 this model is selling everywhere for $4,999). Probably not, but hey, if you can afford it and you are an early adopter like me, go for it. The picture quality is outstanding! This television is noticeably brighter than the previous model in the head to head,in-store comparisons I did. Some reviewers have complained about reflections on the shiny curved screen. Although this model has the same surface finish, I haven't noted any major problems with reflections. This TV is plenty bright enough despite being in a family room with lots of big windows and skylights. The colors are extremely vivid and the depth enhancement function is pretty wild as well. As several others have discussed with the previous model, you'll need to experiment with settings...

Excellent upconversion.
I've had this for 3 weeks now, and I'm very pleased with it.

Pros: Excellent picture (from straight on).
Excellent 4k upconversion from HD satellite channels (DirecTV).

Cons: Very poor off-axis viewing, including looking up or down at the screen.

This set is a step down from Samsung's 2015 flagship, the fald JS9500. It has a bright display (600 nits peak brightness), wide color gamut (92% of the DCI-P3 cinema standard), and of course 4k resolution. If I overlook the deterioration in picture quality if I move several feet to one side or stand up, it is the best TV picture I've ever seen -- much better than the plasma sets I've had, and also better than the 2014 HU8550, which I also have. The best of the satellite channels I watch upscale from 1080i to look almost as good as blu-ray 1080p.

This is an edge-lit set, which makes it economical, but it does sometimes show some bright areas on the screen which don't belong there. I seldom...

best edge lit 4k.
With the lights on a Brilliant 4k picture, lights off and you have the worst performing edge lit I've seen in years.. $5k for this? Come on

Light on great blacks, light off and nothing is watchable, see photos. This is what the pro reviews are not telling you.

I lowered my review because the backlight with lights out is horrible. This display is great with any light on, the filter will makes blacks look black. With the lights out the flashlights come out and expose the truth. The photos exaggerate the actual black levels making them worse than they are but they are much worse than a Sony 900B. The 900B Sony is much better in the dark and the JS9000 is better in any room with lights. If you watch tv in the dark a lot, avoid the JS9000 or you will not be happy. The best 4K display I have seen in a lit room, very nice display but dark room viewing and it goes down hill.

This JS9500 is full-array Back-lit and should perform much better...

Samsung UN65JU7100 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV

Samsung UN65JU7500 Curved 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV
