Excellent Addition To The Series!
Omega Ruby is excellent remake that truly stands out among the others in the franchise. With over 700 different Pokémon you won't get bored searching for new ones, but on top of that it gives old players of the originals a great sense of nostalgia and good memories. That's not to say that this game isn't for newcomers, because they will have just as much fun with this game than the nostallic players.
Graphics: The 3D graphics look awesome on the 3DS, and everything from the Pokémon to the environments look great in the new edition.
Gameplay: If you've played other Pokémon titles then you know what to expect. It's the same old fashion game, but of course with a polished update that makes the series feel fresh and entertaining.
What's Different: Of course X & Y introduced Mega Evolve and this game is no exception to that new type of temporary Pokémon evolution. For players who didn't play the last games in the franchise...
Classic!
Living up to what I had expected.. and much more! It is a remake of the old Ruby, but better because they added NEW features to it!
Graphics are like X&Y, plus you still can do wonder trade and mega evolution. They also took off the option to select your skin color. To be honest, it wasn't a big deal for me personally since they did not represent my skin color in x&y. You can now sneak/creep up to some pokemon if they are visible in tall grasses. Professor Birch seems kind of sassy in this game, well at least in the beginning. Maybe it has to do something with his facial hair.....?? Mauville City is now like an inside mall with random shops on the side.. I had to look up the city map just to find the bike shop. They also changed the story line a wee bit to show off the insane graphics and sound effects.
There are now personal flags for your secret base. Street pass needs to be enabled to capture someone's flag. Ohh, there's this nice app called BuzzTV on your...
What to expect from an outstanding long awaited remake:
Got it at the midnight release! You can get a shiny Beldum just like you got Torchic in X and Y and if you made a pre-order, the game comes with a poster with Kyogre and Groudon on one side and Diancie on the other.
I am a HUGE Hoenn fan, so granted, I wanted an amazing remake. I got it. :D Like X and Y, you can choose a language but you cannot customize your character, which is a huge disappointment after we were able to do that in X and Y. WHY? Besides that, the graphics are stunning for the 3ds and a VAST improvement from the original gameboy games as to be expected. It's essentially X and Y in Hoenn, but better. Nostalgia comes back to bite you as it did me, and I sadly already finished the game because I couldn't stop playing this. If you were lucky to get a code, you can transfer some data over, including a Glalie with a megastone. They went all out with this game. Remember that scene in the beginning of X and Y where your bird flies in your room, and the first p.ov...
