Yoshi's New Island - Nintendo 3DS

Not terrible, not a masterpiece, just alright/decent/OK and kind of a mixed bag. A solid 6 or 7 out of 10.
*Sigh* Of course the irrational fanboys show up and knee-jerk downvote a review that is more than fair. I don't know what to tell ya folks. I'm just as torn up about this game not being the masterpiece I hope it'd be as you are. Look at both the critic and user scores on metacritic for this game for a moment; Yoshi's New Island is clearly a divisive entry. This was a REALLY hard game to score for me. Let's face facts, this isn't a perfect game, far from it. It's not as bad as the harshest critics say, but not as amazing as the wide-eyed fans praise it to be either. Never in my review do I say this game SUCKS, never. All I'm saying is that this is a game with major strengths, yes, but also major issues, as well as aspects that are mixed in quality, that put it in the balance of "average." 3-stars on Amazon means "It's OK." That's not a bad thing. I implore you, actually read my review beyond the score and the title before you give an unhelpful vote in a knee-jerk reaction. Most of...

The original will always be the best. But this does ok.
This game is fun don't get me wrong, but their is some things I don't like.

The first thing you'll notice when starting up is the god awful music. My god I can't believe this made it into the game. The original Yoshi's Island had some fantastic music. And for some odd reason the sequels just can't get on that level.. (Yoshi's Island DS was bad too)

The game is fun, very similar to classic Yoshi's Island. You have the addition of new game play elements (like giant eggs). You'll notice that the game hides A LOT of hidden (?) flying clouds. It gets to the point where it's pretty predictable where they are.

The enemies are just as good as the original.

The Level design is very similar to the original, but not as good..

And last but not least the game looks great. The graphics are well done and the 3D is awesome.

I like it.

A Promising Return to Yoshi's Island
The last time I visited Yoshi's Island was back in 1995 on the Super Nintendo. Nineteen years later, with very little innovation to bring to the table, Yoshi's New Island strikes nostalgic hearts with a piercing arrow and delivers a solid, platforming adventure for newcomers, but may not be the re-imagining of the series progressive-minded gamers were hoping to get their hands on.

Not straying too much in the way of gameplay, Yoshi's New Island merits the same control scheme as its SNES predecessor and contains a plethora of new, whacky and charming levels which are a mainstay of the series. Some of the newer elements introduced such as the monolithic Shy Guys (coming in both original and metallic variety) and a cursor freezing function to aid with aiming, add a sensible, if not superfluous dynamic to the series' traditional gameplay that, while amusing, wouldn't be missed if they were absent. The only truly troublesome addition to the title would have to be the...

Mario Party: Island Tour

Boards are too tiny to enjoy.
I am disappointed that I bought this as a download from the eshop, as after only one night, I would probably sell the game if possible. The last Wii game had no change in game rules from board to board, so I was glad to hear that this game would feature 7 boards, each with its own rules. First off, unless you have plenty of friends with a 3DS, consider this to have 6 boards, as the 7th requires at least 3 human players. My wife and I played through 5 of the 6 we could play, then she said she won't play it again, just 2 hours after I bought it. We used to play the old games for weeks! The rules for the boards ARE varied and generally good, however no board has classic Mario Party rules. You won't be collecting coins and stars and there are no bonus stars at the end of the round. These boards are mostly about getting to the finish line first, that's it. Obstacles and how you get there change, BUT the game has been shortened for handheld play to the point that it all seems more...

worst mario party game ever
i am a huge fan of all mario party games for any platform, whether ds, wii, or game cube. i had high hopes for this game since it is for the new 3DS and i thought that it would blow all the other mario party games away. It did not. In fact, it fell behind as one of the worst mario party games i have ever played. The normal DS game for Mario Party is 10X better than this one. The only thing good about it is the 3D modes. You can not play all of the game boards, namely the last one where you need to have 3-4 actual players and not COMs. The boardgames last no more than 30-40 minutes and go by faster than a mario kart race on rainbow road. Most of the games are the same as past generation minigames, but with a litle twist, but too little to actually enjoy. Some minigames require the movement of the DS itself, and that is where the annoyance kicks in. The balance usually always go off and you end up turning your whole body in circles to move your screen to the right direction. there are...

Short, unsatisfying, and ultimately disappointing.
I'm a pretty big fan of Mario Party. I own every game in the series, and this is easily the worst one. It's such a shame. The 3DS is easily one of my favorite consoles of all time, so I had pretty high hopes for this installment, but their attempt to reinvent the series in the last couple of iterations is saddening.

Here are my main complaints:

- Nontraditional, linear boards: They did away with the classic coins-and-stars gameplay entirely in favor of gimmicks like races and card-based games.
- Short boards: They vary in length, but there's at least one you can win in three turns.
- Overly luck-based: I know, it's Mario Party -- luck is always an element. But there is WAY too much reliance on luck in this installment, for boards and minigames alike. Even some minigames that seem skill-based are more luck-reliant (I'm citing the minigame Stretch Run here -- the strength of the rubber band changes each time you play). Strategy in boards is either...

DriveClub (PlayStation 4)

A Gorgeous and Symphonic Meditation
I only play single player, in car games. Sometimes multi-player, but my heart is with single player.

So. As such, this game delivers in a number of Spades.

It is beautiful, you can control weather and time, and from the get-go you have access to a crap-load of tracks.

They allowed a type of openness that lets you use the same car to explore numerous environments, or, in one environment to explore numerous cars. And at the same time explore that same environment at different times of day and with different weather.

This sort of flexibility is part of why this game is so lovely.

You say, I want to drive *this* car in *this* environment, with *this* weather at *this* time of day.

And this thing delivers in a way that Gran Turismo, Forza, and Horizon, do not. Horizon 2 meets that to a similar degree-- only it's not nearly as pretty or realistic, it does not sound as good, and it has different physics.

If you...

You'll Love It
I got DriveClub on 12/6 so my experience with it has been a lot different than those who played it at launch. I created a club right of the bat and have had online races and completed challenges over the network without issues. I've read that it still isn't working perfectly for all players, but the problems are much, much less prevalent.

The driving experience itself is right up my alley. I'm a player who has never been able to get really into simulation racers, as I always want to have a little more fun than real-life physics allows. DriveClub provides that realism aspect in the visual fidelity and the environmental effects, but the handling itself is still arcadey enough to have the fun factor.

The visuals in this game are truly something we've never seen before. The sound and sights as you're racing downhill are enough to make your heart race- the sense of speed here is unmatched. Weather was just added to the game (http://a.pomf.se/dwgknv.gif) and it's...

DriveClub is beautiful, but lacks in other areas.
So, let's get this out of the way first, the server issues DriveClub was experiencing at launch are finally fixed. The game works now, although some of the features that were promised before launch (e.g. PS Plus version, DriveClub Live, DriveClub app, etc.) are still not there yet.

As a big fan of Gran Tourismo and the Forza Motorsport series (especially Forza Horizon) I can say that DriveClub is a very good game, but will not satisfy people used to the more simulation-oriented handling of the games I just mentioned. I am used to a car handling in a more or less realistic way on Forza 5 and Gran Tourismo and although DriveClub is not entirely unrealistic (like Need for Speed is), it is just unrealistic enough to be frustrating. You do certain maneuvers expecting the car to behave in a certain way, but the car in the game does something entirely different. This is especially apparent when it comes to drifting, which is decidedly unrealistic in this game (presumably the...

Game & Wario - Nintendo Wii U

Good demonstration of the GamePad's capabilities
When I first started up Game and Wario, I noticed that my Wii remotes kept turning themselves off. I recalibrated them a few times before I realized that this was intentional. This game doesn't use the Wii remotes at all. It just uses your Wii U GamePad and your TV.

Game and Wario is a collection of 16 mini-games, 4 of them multi-player, and 12 of them single player. It was originally created to be a demonstration of the Wii U's GamePad, much as Wii Sports was a demonstration of the Wii Remote's capabilities. But the story goes that the developers ended up designing so many of these games that they decided to release them as a stand-alone title.

It's a shame that at least some of these didn't come pre-installed on the Wii U, as I think the slow sales of the Wii U are at least partially due to people being perplexed by the GamePad. Yes, there are a few hints of its potential in Nintendo Land, but Game and Wario really shows off the full potential of the...

A Lot of Fun
I was really excited for this game since they showed it at the Wii U launch presentation. Patiently waiting,. I per-ordered as soon as it was available. The first time I played I played each of the single player games which other reviews have accurately described.
The second time I had a friend, who doesn't get the Wii U, play games with me. He was pleasantly surprised by some games, and perplexed by others.

I enjoy it more with another person, even if I am the only one playing. Some later levels can become frustrating, and Bird certainly becomes hard later. The multiplayer games are great, except thee rhythm one that we couldn't make work.

The cut scenes are very well done, and the music is fitting. Voices are rarely used, and I don't think they were really necessary.

I would suggest it if you want a more relaxed or quirky game, or if you like party games that are short and more unique.

Single Player Lacked but Multiplayer rocked!
I initially bought this game to play it with my friends. Knowing other Warioware games I was somewhat hesitant to buy it and on game night to even play it. One of my friends convinced me to play it, he kept telling me "It's like Nintendo Land!" Point is he couldn't have been and more wrong. The single player was really short and we took turns beating the levels. It really only took us about 45 minutes to beat it. But when we continued on to the multiplayer games we had such a good time! I recommend this game for families and friends wanting to play fun multiplayer modes!

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

One of the best Wii games has now become one of the best 3DS games
I can almost hear the haters now, complaining about Nintendo re-releasing a two year old game onto the 3DS, but such gripes are unfounded in my opinion. While it is true that this is *mostly* a port of the fantastic platformer from a couple years back, there are definitely enough additions and differences to make this a game that may be the preferred version among fans. Seeing how this is a game that has, for the most part, been accessible since 2010, I'll focus mainly on discussing the differences between this version and the original and whether or not you'll want to even bother buying this.

In the rare case that you're not familiar with Donkey Kong Country Returns, I'll sum the game up thusly: It is easily one of the best Wii games, arguably the best Donkey Kong game that has ever been released, and it's a real contender for best 2-D platformer of the past two decades. It is that good. The whole...

Welcome Back to the Jungle
In 1994, Rare developed a little game called Donkey Kong Country that became a huge smash on the Super Nintendo. It went on to sell millions of copies and was even followed up by two sequels. After the Donkey Kong Country trilogy came we were subjected to Donkey Kong 64 and then numerous strange games that seemed to feature Donkey Kong, but not exactly play like Donkey Kong. Thus, when Donkey Kong Country Returns first came out, it was easy to be excited. Because it was the first time in a over a decade that we got the chance to play a traditional Donkey Kong Country game and the results are fantastic. When it was released on the Wii in 2010 it was hailed as an instant classic. Now the game is getting a 3DS port and it's still pretty good.

The original game followed the tale of Donkey Kong. His bananas were taken by King K. Rool and Donkey Kong had to go out, along with Diddy Kong, to get them back. Donkey Kong Country Returns goes back to that. But instead of King K...

A Perfect Example of Modern Platforming
I'm one of the sad folks who never got a chance to play Donkey Kong Country Returns on its native Wii platform. I played it for a few minutes at my local Best Buy a few years back and was instantly enthralled, but somehow I just never got around to picking it up. Fast forward to E3 2012 when the news of the 3DS port broke, and suddenly my interest is piqued once more. Since then my anticipation of the game grew to completely unexpected levels, and it was a wonderful feeling to finally download it and give it a run. I've been playing it steadily since then, and I can confirm that it's everything I wanted it to be.

This game is a very rare treat, as it's likely the only modern platformer I've played that actually feels the way it should. So many developers add guns or other tricks to their games, and most often they opt to use a visual style that is either retro or rather minimalistic. But this game is completely different; since this generation began I've dreamed of...

DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 - Jet Black

Best controller I have ever used
As a long time Microsoft supporter and someone who has never really liked the PS3, I felt it necessary to post this.

I picked up the new DS4 controller last night for the upcoming PS4, and I have to say I am blown away at how much better they made this controller.

Everything about this controller feels better than the old DS3 and prior units. The joysticks are farther apart and actually have resistance for more precise movements.

The grips are elongated and this makes the controller fit much better in my bigger hands.

It is not heavy in the hand, so while using it I forget I am holding it. The movements feel more like second nature rather than thinking about which button to press.

I knew awhile back I was not getting the Xbox One and I had hitched my wagon to the PS4 train. This just makes that decision all the more grand.

This DS4 is the best controller I have used on any system to date. Will it beat the new Xbox One...

PC Compatible if you can rebind!
I agree with what the others have said regarding feel so I will post what I've found regarding working with PC

Controller is working via generic Wireless Controller driver on Windows 8 while connected with micro USB cable OR through bluetooth! Have tried with several games and have found the following:

Doesn't follow the 360 bindings, you will have to rebind games, may not work for games that don't allow this.

Works wonderfully with Battlefield 3, GTA: San Andreas, Strike Suit Zero, ZSNES, Dolphin etc. after rebinding.

A Micro USB cable is NOT included in the box!!!

Have not found a way to make rumble work.

Touchpad input is NOT recognized so far, but clicks ARE.

Share, Options, and PS button all register.

The front lit section slowly fade blinks Yellow while charging, is solid white while connected wirelessly, and off while charged and on cable.

Opens with a 0x2-1/2" or other small...

MLB 13 The Show - Playstation 3

The Gameplay review from a baseball fanatic
First off, I've played MLB The Show since the beginning, and before that it was MLB 2K, World Series Baseball, VR Baseball, Batter Up, Bases loaded and yes even Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr. Since I can remember sports video games have been just about the only games that have mattered and I grew up during the growth of the video game (29 now).

So to hear people bash MLB 2013 The Show for slight improvements, or similarities to last year's game is beyond me. When I sit back and look at the big picture of where sports games have been and what they are now, it's incredible. Even in the last five years it's a crazy positive difference.

Anyhow, this year's game is very similar to lasts, I haven't gone out and read any reviews so these are just my thoughts upon playing a few games today. I will update as I see fit as I play more. The changes are subtle, just like the game of baseball. The game though is still fantastic.

Also I...

Be Aware Of What You Are Buying/Playing
I simply don't agree with, or even understand for that matter, the negative comments on this game. The only thing I have to say is be aware of what you are purchasing. This game is designed to SIMULATE baseball. You can't just get up to bat and swing at every pitch and expect to be good at this game. Timing is key. Pitch selection is key. Pitch location is key. This is how baseball really is. This isn't a button smasher, you need to learn, practice to be good at it.

I can't comment on the negativity that this is just a roster update, because I didn't play 2011 or 2012. I own 2010 and in my opinion this game is head over heels better from 2010 to 2013. Graphics, game play, and overall presentation are much better than 2010.

I have spent some good hours playing this game and I have loved every second of it. If you want a true baseball simulation this is the game for you. If you are looking for an easy game where you hit a homerun every other at bat, hit .540 with...

MLB: The Show Finally Delivers the Total Package
As a series MLB: The Show has been the most consistent of all the yearly sports representations this generation. Consumers have come to rely on exceptional baseball authenticity, realistic gameplay, fantastic graphics, and deep franchise and career modes to invest time with. What has been missing though is sense of accessibility and an acceptable online experience.

Those aspects however are no longer holding the franchise back. MLB 13: The Show is the iteration that pulled everything together to finally become a complete product and in doing so will absolutely deserve to be in contention for "Best of" awards late this year.

POSITIVES

*Gameplay and Authenticity
The unforgiving nature of The Show has finally eased off with the expansion of the hitting timing window. Far more rewarding and satisfying, hitting success has improved dramatically but not to any sort of unrealistic level. Averages were so consistently low in the past, with too many...

Red Wii Mini Console MotionPlus Bundle (Wii)

It's all about the games!
I was trying to rack my brain on all the hate behind this console. But then I realized, taking out the Gamecube ports, online, and SD Card, really affect one game the most: Super Smash Brothers. If you are the type of casual gamer that just wants this console to get your fill of Mario, then this console is just fine. The console is not only a steal, especially with Mario Kart included, but many of the Wii hits are at great prices as well.

One thing I do like about this Wii is the top-loading disc drive rather the dependence on motors to insert and eject discs, which are bound to stop working. Open the lid, pop the disc in, shut the lid and you're good to go. Simple and fool-proof enough for kids.

I also liked that it came with the Wii Motion Plus Remote with rubber cover, nunchuck, and even AA batteries. So, Nintendo did give you everything to get you up and running right away.

Oh, just to confirm it does have built-in memory for game-saves. It...

THANK YOU Nintendo! Exactly what I needed!
Perfect for young kids who are just getting into gaming!

Let me start off by saying, if you are a hard-core gamer this console is obviously not for you, but this $99 package was exactly what I needed for a 6-year-old who is just getting into video games. I did not want to spend between $200-$500 for a top-of-line cutting edge console with all the bells and whistles for a 6-year-old who doesn't need those features and doesn't have a clue what 1080p means. By the time my 6-year-old does get into more advanced gaming and wants multi-player features and internet download capabilities, no-doubt there will be a new, fancier video game console than the Wii U or the XBOX One. He certainly doesn't need "backwards capability" since he's new to video games or wi-fi for Netflix and internet downloads.

I purchased my Wii Mini on December 13th from TRU for $99 including the Mario Kart. I was concerned about whether I would be able to hook this up to my Samsung LCD...

$100
It's a good product. It is a Wii, with no gamecube support and no online access. I would like to point out that it is currently being sold elsewhere for $100. Anyone charging more than that at the time of this review is trying to ripping you off.

Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect Holiday Value

Great deal with two great games!
I completely agree with Connor to his point (Halo 4 is great), but if this is going to kids, the 4gb will likely serve you well for a while (maybe forever). I have a 250gb Xbox (no Kinect) downstairs for my own games and a 4gb Kinect bundle upstairs for the kids (bought at launch). I did recently purchase a 16gb flash drive to extend the storage for demo and arcade games, but this was under $20 and I didn't really need it for actual games. With the fall 2012 update, they just upped the maximum USB storage you can use to 32gb. Today's prices put 32gb drives in the $25 range. Just a heads up on other options this holiday season.

Kinect adventures and Disneyland Adventures are both great games (Kinect sports are great too), I paid full price for the Kinect bundle and Disneyland Adventures when they each came out and they are both worth it if you have young kids (mine are both under 5). There are plenty of horrible games (I'm looking at you, Star Wars Kinect and Sonic...

Works great but requires a MONTHLY Fee
I have a PS3 and have had one for about 5 years. It is a great product that I wish Sony would do more with. That being said, over Thanksgiving, my wife and I were introduced to the Kinect. It is awesome - so much fun for a group of people when they cut loose.

Via Amazon's lightning deals, I was able recently to get a great price on the Xbox and Kinect packaged deal. We received the Xbox today and immediately started playing (very easy setup) one of the dancing games. It is seriously a fun game, we played for a couple hours.

When we finished, I started poking around with the other features of the Xbox. What I quickly found is that the Xbox is fairly worthless for any other feature other than games unless you want to drop another $10 a month (or $100/year) on the Gold service. You can't even use Netflix unless you pay this monthly fee - on TOP of what you already pay Netflix. And to top it off, you can't even use Internet Explorer without the "Gold" Service...

Xbox? Great. 4 GB hard drive? Nearly useless.
Do yourself a favor and buy the 250 GB bundle. With the 4 GB you cannot play games like Halo 4 and you'll end up shelling out another $130 for the separate hard drive anyways.

Other than that, Xbox 360 is still amazing. Even after 7 years since its launch.

Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle

Great Value
A Side note: I wont be re-hashing the many many reviews that you can find on the Current Gen Xbox 360 Hardware, as there are plenty of those out there for you to make a decision.

The Annual Holiday bundles are an amazing value. For the same price as the same spec system (amount of memory, Kinect included or not) you get the same system with 2 games. This year, for the 250GB model, they are including a Voucher to Download Skyrim. Important to know and keep in mind if your internet is slow, limited, etc. It also includes Forza 4 Essential Edition. I am not much of a racing game player, so I am not sure if that is what the normal version of the game is called, or if that is a special, some what limited version of the game. You also get the 1 month of Xbox live Gold, 1 wireless controller, and 1 wired headset. It does NOT include an HDMI cable, but instead comes with a set of Composite cables. Some thing to keep in mind, and if you need cables, buy from Amazon...

Great Deal--One Warning
First of all let me say that this is an amazing deal. For the same price as the system without games you can have two games. Skyrim is the great game you have all heard it was. Those without a high speed internet connection may be a little peeved that it is only a download. The warning is concerning the other game--Forza 4. The copy that comes with this bundle is dubbed the "Essentials Edition." What this means is that the game is the same as the copy you can buy new except with 214 less cars than with the full game. You still have 320 cars and from the best I can tell the rest of the game is intact. This probably should not be a dealbreaker for most of you however as even without Forza, the Xbox 360 with the Skyrim download is still a great deal in itself. I wholeheartedly recommend this bundle.

More like 1-and-a-half bonus games
It's a slim X360 with a price cut. Nothing new to add, so here's this bundle's fine print:

1) Forza 4 ESSENTIALS EDITION. It comes with fewer cars than Forza 4 (320 as opposed to 500+ish). Not sure if all the tracks are included.

2) Skyrim is a digital download, so you're s--- out of luck if you were planning on selling the game.

3) It's 1 month of free Xbox LIVE Gold, not 3.

4) Get your own HDMI cable, this box doesn't have one.

5) Get a rechargeable controller battery, this box doesn't have one. AA batteries are so 1997.

Basically, Amazon needs to get the product description right. Other than that, it's nice to finally join the 360 party, especially now that the back catalog's best games can be bought dirt cheap on the used market.

Xbox 360 250GB with Kinect Holiday Value Bundle

Great console, good value in bundle
This is a great value for this bundle.
The games are Dance Central 2 download, and Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports, all very fun and the right entry-level games for someone new to Kinect.
Note that besides the Kinect sensor, console also comes with a normal wireless controller (this not in the product description and I bought an additional controller which I'll probably return).
Also the 250 Gb HDD is great - you can carefree download any demos and games you want, without worrying about running out of space. Most downloadable content for games easily exceeds 1Gb, so 4GB won't get you too far.

Skip the PS3 and buy an Xbox 360
A great value for an awesome video game system. I would like to give the flipside comparison to be fair, versus the PS3 fanboy that posted his review below.

1. The bundle comes with the Kinect, which is much better than the PS Move. I own both, and I can tell you that it just collects dust. If you want a motion controller, you might as well go with the Wii U, as there are quality Wii and Wii U compatible games. Kinect full body game works great as well, but the Wii is simply better for certain type of games.

2. The Xbox 360 has plenty of exclusive titles, such as Halo 4 and Gears of War 3. Certain titles just simple work better on the XBox 360, such as Skyrim. As you might already know at the time of this review Skyrim DLCs are available for the 360 and PC, but not PS3. In fact, certain games just play better on the 360. Many also prefer the Xbox 360 controller. There is also the indie game marketplace, Xbox Live arcade, and on demand games. Just like the PS3,...

Awesome!!!!!
The Xbox and Kinect are really amazing! The Kinect is a great way to have fun and move around during the cold winter, or whenever you feel like it. True, a few things are a bit pricey, but you dont need to have everything that they offer you. With the holiday sale they have on this, it's a great gift for your kids! :)

They have extended the voucher until 3/31/2014.

Yes, it is still annoying that it doesn't come on it's own disk but I can hardly complain for the price I paid(at the time it was $34). Even if it didn't come with the two PSP games, it would still save me money over buying GoW 1, 2, and 3. Adding in the fact that you do also get the PSP games, and you're getting an amazing buy on several amazing games, 2 being DLC or not.

But just to be clear, they have extended the vouchers!!!

EDIT:
They have re-extended these voucchers once again until 3/31/2016

5 stars for the God of War series - 1 star for the download voucher = 4 stars
What can I say about God of War series that hasn't been said before? It is an amazing game series and is a must have for all gamers. It has a great story especially if you enjoy Greek mythology like me. I think it has the best boss battles in video game history and I am being serious. There isn't anything that I don't like about the games.

What I don't like is..... Finding voucher to download God of War Origins. I always prefer disc version over download content. I actually thought I was missing a disc after I opened it. It doesn't say anywhere in the detail description or even on the game case about download voucher so I thought it was very misleading for Sony to do that. I know exactly why Sony did that though... They want people to buy NEW so they get the profit and stop people from buying/selling used. However, it bothers customers like me who feels like I was duped and I never had any intention of ever selling God of War Saga.

Hey Sony.... Next time, put an...

Misleading Description
I jumped at the opportunity to pick this package up on sale but was bummed to find that there was not PS+ code, game manuals, and that 2 of the 5 Full Games advertised on the front are actually download codes. I have not issue with that if it is clearly marked. Additionally the voucher included has an expiration date of 3/31/2013 so if you plan on picking this up make sure to redeem the code before it expires - oh also the terms of when the code is valid is also subject to change without notice, I would hate to pick this up and not get the 5 games promised on the front cover.

Nintendo 3DS XL - Blue/Black

Finally, Nintendo delivers on the 3DS' potential (an in-depth look at the improvements and differences over the original 3DS)
If one looks at the 3DS with an unbiased, objective point of view, there is a lot to love. It is basically a next-gen successor to Nintendo's vastly successful DS handheld, with the horse-power of a console somewhere between the Gamecube and the Wii. It utilizes a very cool 3-D effect that, when done right, really adds to the overall immersion of the gaming experiences available on it. Everything about it is an improvement on the original DS. Granted, it also has some caveats and issues as well. The 3DS XL does a very good job delivering the goodness of the original 3DS, while making vast improvements over its smaller brother original. In this review, I will focus on the differences and improvements this model makes on the 3DS line. I'll warn you right now, this is a long review. If you don't like long reviews, then you may want to skip this. :P

Screen Size: With a title that includes "XL," obviously the increase in size is the biggest difference between this and the...

Definitely worth the upgrade!
I don't feel like writing a long review as the other reviews seem to cover the finer points of the item just fine.

I just want to say, if you have an original 3DS, upgrade to this one if you can. If you don't have a 3DS at all, buy this one. Your eyes will love you for it. I rarely played my original 3DS (with 3D on or off) because the screens were so small and my eyes would get tired after 30 minutes or so (this never happened with my DS Lite, seems to just be more happening on the screen with 3DS games). I wasn't going to pick up the XL until I was reading reviews on other sites and almost every one of them were bragging about how much easier this one is on the eyes. They couldn't have been more correct. I went to gamestop and traded my old 3DS and a few games and got the XL, did my system transfer in the store (took about 30 minutes or so) and walked out with my new XL all ready to go with my ambassador games and all of the other games I downloaded from the eshop...

My first impressions of the 3DS XL
Well, I just came back from Target about 30 minutes ago and I picked up my 3DS XL. I picked up the red and black one. As soon as I took it out of the box I could see that this was well worth the money. IMO, the overall design is much better than the original 3DS. When you open the lid, you a hear a click that assures you that the hinge is tightly fastened. The screens are beautiful and the size of them are great. The original 3DS's screen is dwarfed compared to the 3DS XL's as it's 90% bigger. The stylus is now on the side rather than on the top which I think is a better place for it, as it's easier to get to in the middle of a game. The outer shape seems to have a more rounded design than the original 3DS. There is no docking station for recharging this time but rather it went back to the original cord in the back. Also, if you have an old DS XL case, then the 3DS XL will fit in it. I have one that I bought from BB last week for $1.99. Also, the 3DS XL comes with a 4GB card rather...

New Super Mario Bros. 2

Time for a format change
I'm usually pretty generous with my ratings, especially on Nintendo products because I've been a fan since the original NES came out. However, after finishing Mario 2 last week, I must express some frustration with the game. First and foremost, if you played Mario Bros for Wii or DS, this game is nearly identical in format. It's fun, but if you've played the others, this won't really excite you. I miss the days when all Mario games were completely different.

Secondly, and I hope this doesn't become a trend, once you unlock certain coin rush levels, you have to purchase them for $2.50 each. This is unacceptable. Everything I need to play the game should be included in the purchase price (which was costly enough to begin with.)

I am sad to say I will think twice before purchasing Super Mario Bros 3 if it ever comes out.

The good, the greedy, and the familiarity. (Stuck between 3.5 - 4 star)
NSMB2's unveiling was met with a lot of praise and criticism by fans of the 3DS. After superb sales on the Wii (New Super Mario Bros. Wii), NSMB2 follows in its predecessor's footsteps but maybe a bit closer than some will want to admit. Of all the discussing I see some bickering fans partaking in, the word "rehash" seems as synonymous with this game in discussion as it is with a franchise the likes of Call of Duty or Madden. So the ultimate question probably should be "Is this really bad or not"?

Gameplay, more money more problems?:
NSMB2 brings back just about all the gameplay elements of its Wii (and of course DS) predecessor in terms of gameplay style, mechanics and so on. As you can tell by the marketing campaign and the game case itself, NSMB2 takes pride in encouraging greedy players this time around. In addition to your usual princess rescuing routine a sub-goal of the game is to collect 1,000,000 gold coins throughout the course of your overall time playing...

A Great Portable Mario Game For People On The Go
The first thing you have to be amazed at is how great the game actually looks, while it doesn't come as a surprise it still felt like you were playing a console version game instead of the portable one. Also the wireless co-op is great fun when playing with a friend without the hassle of wire hookups and whatnot. While the game is just a portable version of Super Mario Bros it's still a blast to have if you're traveling by bus/train/plane/car and are looking for away to pass the time.So for any Mario fan who has a 3DS this is one game you must add to your library when you get a chance.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Game of the Year Edition - Playstation 3

Great game, but a warning about the GotY edition.
I recently upgraded my original release day copy of Uncharted 3 to a new copy of the Game of the Year Edition, as it was much more affordable than buying all the dlc online by itself. I'm not going to comment much on the game itself, other than to echo others affinity for the Uncharted series. But, I thought it relevant to warn people that while all of the dlc (basically everything that makes the GotY version different/better than the original release) is on the disc, it requires an online access code to activate. If you already bought the original release, the codes are interchangeable, you're previous code will allow access to all the dlc on this disc itself. However, for those who aren't upgrading or aren't buying the GotY version brand new, without a valid (unused) code, you're essentially paying more for a disc that only has the functionality of the standard edition. Whether Naughty Dog will sell or somehow provide buyers of used copies of the GotY edition a working code...

The Definitive Way to Experience Uncharted 3
In 2011, Uncharted 3 hit the ground running and quickly became one of the most well received games in the Playstation 3's library. This is an impressive feat considering the game was the sequel to. Uncharted 3 manage to live up to much of the hype which surrounded it and continues to be a popular treat. As with most games that do well in the market as well as with the fans, Uncharted 3 was given a game of the year edition. For those who've yet to experience Uncharted 3 this is most definitely the edition you'll want to buy. The original game can still be find for a cheap price, but you'll wind up having to pay a lot of extra money for all the DLC. If you don't really care much for the DLC then there's no real reason not to buy the original game. This review is for those who have not played Uncharted 3 as well as for those who have so it's a rather long one.

Uncharted 3 is a much more character driven story than the previous two. The game focuses pretty strongly on...

Bonus addition very cool
For those of you who are fans of the previous versions, you get the following extras:
- Multiplayer maps (Graveyard, Old Quarter, London Streets, Oasis)
- "Flashback maps" which are 8 remade maps from versions 1 and 2
- 25 multiplayer skins, and Killzone 3 skins
- Fort Co-Op (this happens in the fortress from 'Drake's Fortune')
- Rogue skins pack (from 14 enemies)

Game will hook you, especially if you haven't played it before. Lots of recognizable faces from the previous games, fluid fighting, more weapons, good range of settings and action sequences.

Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure - Xbox 360

Yes, it is fun for adults as well...
This is the first Kinect game besides "kinect sports" that I thought was very well done. What must be said about this kinect game is that the programers are finally figuring out how to make character navigation work for the controller free setting. The character movements in this game are SOOOOOOOOO much fun. Running/walking/climbing, its all very well done (unlike the ridiculous navigation in Disneyland Adventures). For this you simply swing your arms (just as you are actually walking) and turn your body to move. Also, the car racing portion is the best vehicle controls that I have used, and they are actually quite effective (I was very disappointed with the driving controls for "Joy Ride". This title is clearly geared for younger crowds, but my wife and I REALLY enjoy playing it, being the pixar fans that we are. The graphics are great, and the voice overs are VERY true to character. Game play is not as repetitive as I had expected it to be, we keep finding more and more things you...

Incredible (s) Pun Intended
Bought this for my Grandson on it's release date, after reading the previews. I will begin, by saying they do a fantastic job of immensing you into the world of Pixar and their movies. First thing that happens, is it creates you as a Pixar character, by scanning you in, and uses a little trick to duplicate the color of your clothing, into each of your characters attributes. The next thing I would like to mention, is unlike the other Disney Kinect title, this one seems alot easier for the younger ones to get going in the game, making the menu navigation much more responsive and easier to navigate through, which is great. The attention to graphics is also incredible, as the game is being played, you actually fel like you are watching a Pixar movie. The concept of the game is quite simple, your character (A Child), is dropped at a Pixar camp, which you can freely roam around in, stopping and meeting other children in the park, all which will stop and give you their take on what part...

Kinect as it should be! So fluid my 2 year old loves it!
This is THE Kinect game we've been looking for: A frustration-free & fun Kinect game! The Kinect motion, menus, and games perform so smoothly and accurately. My 2 year old can start the game without our intervention and can play alone if he wants. We love the variety of the games and the guided part of the beginner's level. This game is so much fun for the entire family! Whomever developed this gamed nailed it and should be put in charge of developing all Kinect games moving forward.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This game is a Zelda masterpiece that is most definitely worth experiencing (even without the bonus music CD)
The Legend of Zelda series is one of the greatest video game franchises of all time, if not arguably *thee* greatest. With each release, Nintendo has showed us the magic of journeying through Hyrule's beautiful kingdom. Now, they have done it again, greatly injecting innovation into the tried-and-true formula of past titles. This is a Zelda game unlike any other, and feels all at once both an incredible nostalgic celebration of 25 years of history, and a wholly new adventure full of wild, awesome new directions. Get ready for a fairly long review, but please know that this is written from the heart of a young man who loves the series above most others in his favorite pastime.

The story and characters present in Skyward Sword are very different among the other Zelda titles, despite the obvious recurring ones. I don't just mean the amazing setting of Link's home, Skyloft, a fantastical city floating above the clouds where everone is bonded to their own guardian birdlike...

Best Game Ever!
This game is a masterpiece.I got this game last year for Christmas and I do not regret getting it.This game has fantastic characters like the newly designed Zelda who has a great personality and you feel some incentive to save her, the wacky and hilarious Groose, and the flamboyant villain Ghirahim who is my favorite Zelda antagonist. This game looks like a watercolor painting it is a beautiful looking game. The music is great and is well orchestrated, My favorite being the boss theme and Fi's theme. The controls are great, especially aiming the bow and swinging the sword. You do need to reconnect the controller a lot though, but still great controls. The game-play is awesome but it gets repetitive sometimes. The story is great with great plot twist and humor. Side quest are great but it needs more of them and needs to make them longer. The boss-rush mode is great and challenging, and the hero mode is welcomed with it's difficulty and new content. The bosses are challenging, and the...

I think I'm in Love!
Oh. My. Goodness
I've been playing video games all of my life, ever since 2000, but I just recently, and by that I mean since October 2013, got into the Zelda franchise. I've heard so many things from so many people about how awesome the games are, which left me curious.
So first, I played Wind Waker, which I thought was a really great game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, it had it's share of problems that kept it from being something truly amazing, but it was still very fun to play overall.
Next, there was Twilight Princess, a game that was just ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, and I LOVE IT TO DEATH! It did everything right in improving upon what worked for me in Wind Waker, as well as addressing the problems I had.
Then came A Link to the Past, which I think is truly a GEM to behold, an amazing game to play and I can definitely see why so many people absolutely love it. I personally thought it was better than Wind Waker, but still not as great as Twilight Princess...

PS3 God of War: Ascension

A good game with some weird flaws
I want to start off by saying that I am a huge God of War fan. I've played almost all the installments (didn't play the PSP releases) of the series on all the difficulties and had a lot of fun. So when this game came out I knew I had to buy it (after it dropped in price)...but I have to say that this game was kind of a let down. It isn't a bad game but there are some changes that were made that ended up hindering the game. I'll do a quick rundown:

STORY: A fairly interesting prequel about how Kratos begins his quest for revenge but still kinda forgettable. I also felt that some of the characters in the game were just added for the sake of it or to add in a boss fight. These characters are never really fleshed out or anything, they're just....there.

PRESENTATION: This game looks fantastic, but for some reason I feel that GOW III looked better. While running there was never any dip in framerate, even when there were a large number of enemies on screen. The...

An Excellent Send Up For Kratos on the PS3 (4.5/5)
God of War has always been one of my all time favorite gaming experiences for two generations, and we have one more huge adventure upon us before the 7th generation closes. God of War 3 was one of the best games on PS3, with a scale unprecedented and a well realized sense of epic (hopefully you know I mean that in the dignified sense) storytelling. Not to mention one of the all time best game play models in the action genre. Ascension follow in the first PS3 entree's footsteps, and it's a fitting coda for Kratos on the PS3. At the end of the day, Ascension is simply another great game that sheds even more light on Kratos and his long journey throughout the series. That's pretty much what I wanted from this release. If you are a God of War fan, you'll want to pick up the next chapter in Krato's saga.

Story wise, Ascension is the first game chronology. What's new this time around is Ascension's attempt to give Kratos a much more human side, instead of the downright...

Decent game. Not the best in the series.
First off, I played the first three games in the series and absolutely loved them. I was a bit skeptical about this one, but preordered this a few days before its release. I think this game is clearly the weakest of the four in the playstation series. I also think that if this game were the first of the series it would have better reviews (which is why I gave it 4 stars as opposed to 3). The first few games set the bar so high and this game didn't meet that standard.

Pros:
(1) The fighting and puzzles are still fun
(2) Final battle
(3) Sound/Music is great like in the previous games and keeps you in the mood of the game
(4) Cool killing cinematics

Cons:
(1) The entire game is based around killing the Furys, which clearly is not as epic as fighting Ares or Zeus
(2) Story is weak compared to the prior games
(3) Weapon upgrades are a nice change, but I really only used one of them frequently other than the blades of chaos
(4)...

Xbox 360 Special Edition 4GB Kinect Sports Bundle

Same as the black one...
The white version of the Xbox 360 Slim is the same as the black one in all functions, so I will be reviewing the actual package and Xbox 360 itself.

The Xbox 360 Slim is hands-down the best console I have ever owned. (This white version especially looks good.) The main differences between the new Xbox 360's and the older models (Arcades/Elites) are as follows: It has built-in wireless internet capabilities, built-in 4GB memory (via flashed internal memory), a port for the Kinect, and a slightly smaller power supply.

This package comes with all of the hook-ups and a white wireless controller (and let me say, I'm really digging this new white one), as well as a Kinect. Now, if you've never played on a Kinect, you are truly missing out. It makes the Wii (and the PS3 Move) look outdated. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the controller-less gaming actually works pretty well, and the Kinect technology is pretty accurate, which surprised me. Kinect Adventures is a...

Worth the cost of upgrading!
Spend the extra $100 and buy the Kinect Sports Bundle. The only reason we initially upgraded was so my younger kiddos would have some games to play as most of the non-kinect games were not for younger ages. I had no idea the Kinect was so much fun - now all kiddos love this. including the older ones who only wanted it for battle games. Another plus with this bundle is it comes with 2 games that are all family friendly. The only complaint about the xbox is that it only comes with 1 controller. Luckily with kinect you dont need the controllers.

reenie
We got this as a gift on Mother's Day (from the best sister ever!) and we've enjoyed the games immensly. We were thrilled to have a video game system that makes our kids get up off the couch and move their bodies! I played the boxing and beach volleyball games with my 8 year-old and my upper body is still sore...in a good way. It gives a nice workout and is fun for everyone in the family. I wish we'd gotten on years ago.

Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth

Pretty damn nice
I just got this today, so understand that before reading the rest of the review. I have already set up the bluetooth for my phone, and have used this as a standard online headset. There is a switch which allows you to swap back and forth, which comes in real handy when you're in the middle of a battle, and you get a call from your invisible girlfriend. To set it up with your Xbox, there is the standard wireless connection button you would find on all wireless controllers, and the boot up sounds rock. There is no mandatory USB connection to make this work, despite reviews I found on other websites. There is a docking station to charge it, but it's not mandatory, as the headset itself plugs right into MOST cell phone chargers. The appearance of it is quite nice, and will go well with the Limited Edition 360 coming out Nov. 8th. You also receive a free Avatar item with the purchase. The code for both Male and Female white t-shirts comes in the packaging.

The overall sound...

MW3 Wireless Xbox 360 Bluetooth Headset Lt Edition (Video).

Works great for XBox 360 and iPhone 4
Bought this bluetooth headset to use for XBox 360 and iPhone 4.

Synched this headset up with both Xbox 360 and iPhone 4 very quickly and easily.

Sound is clear. Headset is comfortable. Easy to use.

Price was great. Shipping was quick and done well from the seller.

I may be purchasing another; you can synch several to the xbox 360 and easy to switch to answering calls on the iPhone.

Black Wii Console with New Super Mario Brothers

Everything arrived in perfect condition and on time.
I ordered a wii for my grandson after he told me anyone on the page would work. He was wrong after I placed the order and he received it he called me to let me know I had ordered the wrong one. He is in New Jersey, I am in Illinois. I called CatchAll and explained my problem, Kristin Edly a ecommerce team member told me to have him send it back and they would replace it with the one he really wanted. I can not tell you how wonderful I was treated. I would trust the company and will buy from them when ever I need gifts for my grandchildren.

Great Service and Product!!!
I have used this used Wii for over a year with games and netflix. I would highly recommend this console!

Nintendo Wii Console with Just Dance 3 Bundle - Black

Made the Right Choice!
My family had a little extra money, and we were trying to decide whether to buy a Wii or PSP. The Wii, with its versatility and price, came out on top. We are now wearing ourselves out, dancing and exercising almost nightly.

The distributor contacted me every step of the delivery, even emailed me to tell me where the package was AFTER delivery.

VERY satisfied.

Go to Best Buy
I bought the Wii console with Just Dance 4 from Best Buy for $129... it was only white, but came with the most recent Just Dance and a way better deal.

Lovin it!
This is my second Wii, love the black! Just dance 3 is so fun!! One remote so you need to get another to play with other people, but other than that, perfect!

Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle with Kinect

Fun for the whole family. - On a budget.
You are getting: a $28 (Kinect Adventure), $20 (Kinect Carnival), $25 (3 Months of Live) and $399.99 (Xbox 360 250gig w/ Kinect) when the xbox is priced by it's self at $299.99 and the kinect is $130.99 this is a great deal for someone with a family or kids.

X-Box w/ Kinect
I received the package in RECORD time, which surprised the *$%# out of me. It got to me (and I live in Alaska) in 4 days from the time I ordered it to the day my wife sent me the text saying it was on our doorstep. The contents were well packaged and nothing was scratched or tampered with. It was really easy to setup, if I can set it up then I guarentee that anyone else can. The kinect sits on top of my entertainment center next to my dvd player, and it works great. Even my shortie 3 year old son can play it (albeit he doesn't quite get the concept). All in all it is a great deal. The only thing I had a problem with was that in the bundle package, it's supposed to have two games and it only came with 1 hardcopy game. The second game has to be downloaded via wifi. I dont have wifi in my house, and I am probably the only one in the U.S. who doesn't. But other than that, no complaints.

Great Package with great value
Well, I already have an xbox 360 for myself. This purchase was for my niece, who has gone on forever about getting a kinect for her room. So, I bought her this one and so far, she's loving every minute of it. Kinect Adventures, she says, is fun and a good party game and she loves playing the carnival game. I couldn't get into that one myself but she seems to enjoy it tons.
Also, she's definitely loving all the kinect apps on the marketplace and now she wants dance central 2.
Anyway, this package seems to be a wonderful package for all ages, especially for the kids, and she just can't get enough of it.

Mario Kart 7

Leave me alone, stupid blue shells!!!!!
Here's another must-own for the 3DS, plus it's my most played on the handheld. Just like how I got Super Mario 3D Land, I got Mario Kart 7 the day it came out. If you love Mario Kart or if you're new to the series, this game is especially a must!

Just like the other Mario Kart games since Mario Kart DS, you can play this game on your own, with nearby people provided that they have 3DS's, or play online. I dig the fact that you can be able to customize your kart, as well as the ability to glide and drive underwater! I would also like to thank Nintendo for getting rid of the thunder cloud that plagued Mario Kart Wii, that thing was just really annoying... you also won't be able to see any fake power-up blocks either, yay! Instead, you'll see new power-ups which are the fire flower, the raccoon tail, and the lucky 7 (I only use that to use the star lol). But still, be prepared to get attacked by those too, that includes blue spiny shells, bullet bills, and bloopers! And each...

Mario To The Finish Line
There is no question that Mario Kart is soon set to celebrate its 20th anniversary as one of the most acclaimed video game series for the Nintendo games. It has just been a non-stop fast & furious ride for Mario, Bowser and his friends from each angle. It has been on every system since the Super NES, and it hasn't seen the plumber and his friends and foes hit the brakes into the warp pipe even once. Still, there have been so many racing games that have tries to copy it and haven't succedded, or those who have been inspired by Mario and his friends race. Well whatever the case, Mario and his friends kept on evolving in the Mairo Kart games and they have never lost their luster. Now with the high-octane and mushroom speed, it is at it again for the Nintendo 3DS, and truthfully it is worth each and every race.

Mario Kart 7 really brings in the big guns for the Nintendo 3DS, where some of the other Nintendo 3DS games, have missed their mark with the launch of the system. Hard...

Not too late to play!
I don't know if they'll ever release Mario Kart 8 for the 3DS, but if you are holding back on this then you should definitely add this to your 3DS collection. Even though this was release a few years ago, this game is very enjoyable! I've been playing with the online community and my friends and it's totally worth my time. If you just got a DS lately or if you held back on it for awhile then you should give this a go. Mario Kart 7 is the best racing game on the 3DS.

Kinectimals - Now with Bears - Xbox 360

Enthralled My 6 Year-Old Daughter
We own all of the Kinect titles for kids and this one has taken my daughter by storm. It's far and above her favorite title. Forget the dancing, rafting and sports titles. This one has stolen her heart (in a good way).

My 6 year old girl gets a lot of joy out of taking her bears/cats on various adventures. And as a dad, I'm impressed with the re-playability of this game. The landscape for adventures and puzzles is immense and I don't see her finishing off all of the adventures for months to come.

As for the bears, they're nice to have as an option (as well as the additional island for their adventures). But even with the cats alone, this game is a ton of immersive fun.

A FEW TIPS

Animal Gestures - There are two pages in the instruction booklet that show you how to make your bear do tricks (motions you make so the cats roll over, stand on their hind legs, etc.) and use spoken commands to switch the play mode (grab a toy from the toy box,...

Full Retail vs DLC
Great game, can't say enough about it. Whether you are a fan of the orginal, or this is your first time, you will love this game...if you keep in mind it is a kids game. Nothing more, but way too cute. BUT WARNING, you don't seem to have to shell out $50 for the "now with bears" if you own the 1st game. For about $15 you can get the bears as a DLC add on.

Grandpa's review
I have a two year old granddaughter and she loves it. I also have an 11 year old grandson who likes a lot of war games. To my surprise he loved it and plays it now more than the war games. It is worth twice what I paid for it just to keep him off the violence.

Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo Selects)

Lunar Mario
With all the hype Nintendo is generating with the upcoming Wii U and the 3DS, it is hard to believe that maybe in 2013 they will stop making games for the Nintendo Wii. Yet, with the influence of motion gaming from Nintendo, it really influenced the way we played games with the motion of the wrist. Yet, there are so many games that have been so definitive to showcase with the Wii. The biggest one in my book for adventure is Super Mario Galaxy. With the joy of seeing Mario in space, it really changed the perspective on how we play adventure games. But unlike Sony & Microsoft with platformers, Mario will always be king, not just in gameplay, but also control, and that now with a new lower price for Super Mario Galaxy, it definitely is a great time to battle Bowser in space once again.

Super Mario Galaxy, as a part of the Nintendo selects series, is definitely a great game from start to finish, as you are thrusted into space to rescue Princess Toadstool a.k.a. Princess Peach...

A main Mario game on Wii? It's so much more than that...
You've probably seen how revolutionary Super Mario 64 was on the Nintendo 64. Well, imagine if the game was separated into mini planets, and you see Mario soaring through the air as he was launched into the air. That, my friends, is Mario Galaxy.

The game starts out with Mario roaming through a gorgeously detailed Mushroom Kingdom as he runs to Peach's Castle...for cake. But then, guess what? Not only does Bowser kidnap Peach again. He kidnaps Peach in a very epic cutscene! Unfortunately for Mario, a Magikoopa sends him flying into the galaxy, knocking him out.

Now, the main game is playing through very big and graphical 3D worlds bouncing on Goombas, collecting coins, and all kinds of other stuff. But, like Super Mario 64, you must collect Stars. Collect enough Stars to be able to play in another world, or maybe have Mario tussle with Bowser. If you were to play the game, you'll notice that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is much, much deeper and more fun...

Until 2010, this was one of Mario's biggest adventures! Nice Lost Levels throwback too!
For Mario's Wii debut Nintendo decided to take their most famous character and send him where no plumber has gone before . . . into deep space! The main game play of SUPER MARIO GALAXY features Mario running around small planets, space debris, water levels, and other colourful Mario themed levels. This is a very long review, so the Intro pretty much tells you what I think and the Overall Information on the Game goes into more detail on the game itself

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INTRO and Purchase Recommendation:

Although the game is great, if you should buy it or not really depends on if you have gotten the superior sequel, SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2. For the first two and a half years of its existence, SMG was an unequivocal title which if you wanted to have the best that the Wii offered, this was the title for you. Like any main entry in the SUPER...

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I love this Place!
Ok, I know I'm a little old to be playing this, but at 65 and all that is going on this country let alone the world, I can honestly say it is a great escape. It's simple, cute, fun, and creative. I have been a gaming grandma since 1981 when I was introduced to a computer game called Zork created at MIT, I believe. That game got me hooked on computers and games in general and since then with the birth of 4 grandchildren that I could introduce games too, it's been quite a ride. When I first played Animal Crossing "Wild World" I got hooked. I'm not a "shoot 'em up" gamer. I like adventure games and this game offers me that playful time of creating a town, meeting nice critters, build houses, bank "bells", and just have a fun moment where the arthritis doesn't hurt, the world is a better place and I can just be retired. As for children playing this game, they will come to understand that work has it's rewards, paying your bills brings you a better house, gardening makes your world...

An Absolute Must-Have For Any Animal Crossing Fan
I was a huge Animal Crossing fan on the GameCube back in high school. So much so that I would wake up two to three hours early some days so I could play some before I had to catch the bus. I don't know what it was exactly that sold me so hard, but when I think of my most fond gaming memories from back then, Animal Crossing is top of the list. My siblings and I used to FIGHT over who's turn it was to play.

There have been several times were I went back, picked up my old copy, and tried to play again. Only to end up doing the turnip cheat, or time shifting like crazy and just pretty much picking weeds for the majority of my play time. I often found myself saying "what was it I loved so much after all?" and it was never quite the same. I tried Wild World, and never really could get into it, never tried the original DS version.

I was so excited for New Leaf this time LAST June that I pre-ordered it right away. I got absurdly lucky and got my copy 4 days early this...

New Leaf, Old Tree
Let it be known that between RPG grind-fests, oddball art games and the latest AAA titles, I enjoy an unhealthy amount of "Animal Crossing." The last portable incarnation, "Wild World", easily received hundreds of hours of my attention, and despite its myriad of problems, it remains one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had. But in 2013, many of the clunky interface issues and limited span of things to do simply will not fly in a modern game. That's why I'm greatly overjoyed that Nintendo has definitely improved the AC mechanics in as many ways possible without changing the core experience here. Make no mistake, "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" is more of the same, but delivered in the best possible way.

There's not much by way of "story" here, as expected. Your custom character arrives at your custom town (the layout of which you can select at the beginning of the game) to discover that he/she is now the mayor of the town. After a brief rundown of basic game...

Top Upper Upside LCD Screen Display Glass Lens Part without Backlight for Nintendo 3DS ~ Handheld Portable Game Console Player Repair Part Replacement

worked great
Price not to bad. Didn't take that long to get in mail. It was packed very good. The longest part was feeding the cable through the 3ds. Took about 2 hours to fix. I was alot cheaper than buying a new one $170. If I needed to I would do it again.

Didn't work!
The product was defective and did not work after installation, and they wouldn't return it because it was more than one month after.

KEEP EYE
SORRY I WRITE THE COMMENT FOR THIS PART, BECAUSE IT DON'T WORK
NEVER I WILL BUY PRODUCTS FOR INTERNET

THanks

Pokémon Y

Another vote for the best title in the series!
I won't bother by giving you a synopsis or details about the game that can be easily found in a general review. Instead I will list a few details why, even with only 20 or so hours into the game so far, that I believe that X and Y are the best installments in the series. In no particular order:

1) The boring guided intro is gone and you are almost immediately on your own catching Pokemon and exploring.

2) Many old favorites from generation I and other fan favorites are featured almost right from the beginning. This is in stark contrast with B & W, where only new unknown pokemon are featured initially. This should appeal to gamers who are fond of the first games from the 90's.

3) No more waiting for powerful pokemon in the late-game, formerly only really usable in post-game. I caught a Bagon by the second gym and that's only the tip of the iceberg.

4) Mega-evolutions bring interest back to fan-favorites, showing younger gamers the great...

This made me love Pokemon again
Let me begin by saying that I am a long, die hard, Pokemon fan. I began back with Pokemon Ruby, and subsequently moved to play the first and second generations. I was absolutely and completely mesmerized by the amazing fun and thrilling rush of playing any Pokemon game. I still remember skipping middle school to stay home and train my Larvitar in Pokemon Silver. I still remember bringing my Gameboy Advance everywhere to try to find Surf in Pokemon Red. I vividly remember beating the Elite Four in Pokemon FireRed for the first time and maniacally pressing A in hopes of catching Mewtwo with the UltraBall.

However, things have changed. I am a college student now. Pokemon Black and White, was for me, a major disappointment. I logged over 100 hours in Pokemon Pearl and Platinum and barely even got my 7th badge in Pokemon Black before completely quitting and never touching it again... I feared the worst, oh god, did I outgrow my childhood? Was I becoming more cynical, more...

Loving it, but a HUGE note of caution: update your game
NOTE: when Pokémon X & Y shipped there was a bug that could break your save game. That has been fixed in an update, so before you play you should run the update. It's really easy to do and the 3DS will walk you through each step--you turn on the network, launch the game, say yes to the prompt to update it, and walk through the prompts to get the update applied.

Pokemon X and Y are a fantastic progression of the Pokemon series, and just like with 'Black' I & II and 'White' I & II, my daughter and I each chose one of the two games--this time around she's playing 'X' and I'm playing 'Y'. It's amazing to see how much more we get in the terms of content, graphics, music, and of course general things to do. However, before I say more I think you should be aware that there is a savegame bug in the out-of-the-box new product that could kill your savegame. I'll post a link to an article about it in the comments, so update your game using your 3DS to get the fix before...

Kinect Disneyland Adventures - Xbox 360

Great graphics and amazing attention to detail, although game play can be a little repetitive
In many ways, Kinect Disneyland reminds me of the game Epic Mickey that came out for the Wii last year. It's a fantastic concept and the attention to detail will absolutely delight die-hard Disney fans, but gameplay itself can be a little shaky at times. But overall, it's a winner, especially if you have younger kids in the house who are always begging you to go to Disneyland or Disney World.

The concept and the graphics of this game are amazing. You start the game out at the Train Station and the scene swoops onto Main Street USA, which should be familiar to anyone who's been to the parks. You define your character by choosing a boy or a girl, and give him or her a face (you basically can choose one by race), and then a hair style, hair color, shirt, and pants. There's only limited customization you can do (I'm guessing you can't use the Xbox avatar because it's just too cartoony for this world).

You meet a "magic ticket" that tells you how to move around. You...

Bring Some Magic from Disneyland Home.
Wow! I've only played a couple hours, but wanted to share some impressions.
I've been to Disneyland a handful of times and the park is faithfully recreated in the game. Playing it brought back memories from my actual visits.

Presentation: The graphics are very nice and colourful as you'd expect, its amazing how much detail they put into the park and all the tourists, you hear bits of conversation while walking from tourists. The Disney Characters are wonderful as are their voices. The Music is perfect and properly placed, such as the teacup song in the wonderland area of Fantasy Land. I did notice very minor pop up and a couple snags when rotating quickly or riding the dumbo type rotating rides, but its nearly perfect.

The Gameplay: There is so much to do, I was happily suprised with the variety. Certain Characters will give you items(a wand, Buzz Lightyear Gun so far) to interact with in Disneyland while traveling to your next ride/adventure, or...

Great game for 10 year old typical child amazing for autistic son first video game he ever played in 13 years of life!!!
Ditto on the positivies thus far, as far as the most helpful negative review have you tried saying XBOX fast travel. Then a menu with things you can say comes up. You can get very far, very fast with this.
My ten year old typical was definitely a huge boon to sortig out this game, but my autisitic son loves the peter pan flying game. We own a wii, and an xbox,I've bought so many games from walle to toy story on wii, to sesame for kinect(I still have hope, he's been under the weather since we got that one). But this disney game always brings a smile to his face.

Fast travel is very nice, even my daughter still uses it sometimes but she has also figured out you can just point straight ahead. She loves to play this game for her "older" brother. A lot of her friends come over and they sometimes don't know how to play with her brother, but they totally get into it with this.

The girls do seem bothered when there avatar's change somewhat randomly, but they quickly...
